Dr. Krista Adamovich grew up in Westchester County, New York. Since the age of five, she dreamed of becoming a veterinarian. In pursuit of achieving her dream, Dr. Adamovich attended James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia where she earned a Bachelors of Science in Biology in 2005. She immediately moved to the midwest to pursue her doctorate in veterinary medicine from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2009. She remains a die-hard KSU Wildcat fan, despite taking residence in Longhorn territory.

After veterinary school, Dr. Adamovich completed a year-long rotating internship in surgery, internal medicine and emergency medicine at the University of Minnesota Veterinary Medical Center. This year of training cemented her passion and commitment to the discipline of veterinary surgery. From 2010-2013, her veterinary surgical residency was pursued at the University of California-Davis. Dr. Adamovich achieved diplomat status in the American College of Veterinary Surgery in 2014.

Dr. Adamovich moved to Austin, Texas in 2013 and is proud to call Texas her home. She spent the first decade of her professional career in a local speciality hospital before founding Roam ATX in 2024.

Dr. Adamovich has numerous professional accomplishments which include publication of three scientific journal articles and authoring two textbook chapters in the field of veterinary surgery.

In her personal time, Dr. Adamovich enjoys spending time with her family which includes her husband, two young children, three dogs and five chickens. Her hobbies include cheering for Austin FC, enjoying the food scene that Austin has to offer, kayaking around the local lakes and more recently, attempting to learn Italian!
